Piano

I have been taking piano lessons for a year now and I've come a long way. I started taking lesson just on a whim and now it seems that I have a real future in it. My teacher, Mrs. Vivian Walker, says that I have a real skill for music theory. In my last book I didn't even get anything wrong. I always thought that music was nothing I had any skill with. It turns out I was wrong. That just goes to show that you shouldn't count yourself out unless you try.

For a long time all I had to practice on was a child's play piano.
But then our friends, the Cavenders, gifted us a beautiful, antique upright piano.
I'm very thankful for our friends and for our blessings.

You are VERY welcome! I'm so glad that we could "pay it forward." I don't know if I ever told you how we received this piano. I was pregnant with Caleb and went into Good Samaritans when it was located in the old Juvenile building across from the hospital doing my usual browsing. On my way out, I asked the clerk if they ever received musical instruments. She said no. And just as I walked out the front door, a woman stopped me and said she had overheard my conversation with the clerk and had a piano that she no longer wanted. I asked her how much she was asking for it, and she said "if you move it, you can have it for free." So, you see, it's only fitting that it be passed on in the same way! Again, enjoy! Teresa
